Hello,

I've recently bought the CH pro throttle and fighterstick. Everything went fairly smoothe other than my usb didn't get detected until I restarted the pc. I use XP pro. I also recently updated the driver to Catalyst 4.7 for my ATI 9600pro. I've been experiencing random freez ups in Lock On, can't rely pin point the problem.

So I uninstalled rolled back the ATI driver and still experience the crashes.
Next I decided to do a fresh install on everything. Uninstalled Lock On completly, deleted all folders and run Registry Cleaner. Than I uninstalled the CH stuff and the CH manager. Unpluged while Un-installing.

I reinstalled and patched Lock On and proceded to install my CH Fighterstick + Throttle. Here is where I have questions;

FIrst thing I did was plug them in and boot up my pc(XP would not detect them if I plug them in while running) It installed the hardware. All USB ports are enabled in bios and I don't use any type of hub, everything is pluged into the MB.

Second I installed CH control manager v3. And it picked up all the USB stuff and installed what was needed from the 2 CH products to Hid keyboard. After instaling it, I calibrated them both. In the calibration it listed them as CH Fighterstick and CH Pro Throttle.

Next I loaded the Lock On profile for 1.02 which is what my game is patched to. The profile has the Pro pedals which I do not use so not sure if I need to disable them. Now after loading the profile and not making any changes, I downloaded. Right after the sucesfull download, it prompted than new hardware has been found and started installing Controler Manager Device 1,2 and 3.

Now when I go back into CH control manager and try to calibrate it, it lists them as "Control Manager Device 1,2 and 3" and I can only Test not calibrate any more it's grayed out. I can also not calibrate them through control panel.

Not sure if this is whats suposed to happen and will cause me a problem?
Should I uninstall the pedals or they won't create a conflict?

One last thing was when ever my pc would freeze in game and I had to restart my pc, I had to Re-download the profile into the sticks.

Thanks
Tri

Did you install Control Manager with your devices plugged in? The devices will be recognised as 'CH Fighterstick USB' etc until you load a profile and then they are named 'CH Control Manager Device 1' etc. To use a profile when you have not got one of the controllers used in the profile highlight that controller tab and click the delete button http://www.ch-hangar.com/SiteFiles/Images/faq/cmdeletebtn.jpg. You do not need to leave the Control Manager software running after you have downloaded the profile to the stick using the download button http://www.ch-hangar.com/SiteFiles/Images/faq/cmdownloadbtn.jpg. With that done you have no software running in the background and therefore nothing that would cause any freezes in Lock-On.

Thanks, yes I had the sticks pluged in when instaling the Control Manager. Just wasn't sure if it was normal for them to get picked up by CM and changed to CM Device 1,2,3.
I'll remove the pedals since I don't have those yet.

Also, when my pc freezes and I rebot it, I have to re-download the profile into the controlers. Or else they don't work properly. Is this normal?

Yes it's normal, by default your controllers will start in DirectX mode when you reboot. However if you 'CMStart.exe' into your startup folder it will start your controllers up with the last map you used.
