I have Ch Virtual Pilot pro Yoke & Pedals to Gameport, and have install the Chanlg08 driver from Ch Product, and when I open the Game Controllers I can see the driver, but I can not load then (nothing happen) and I can load the other drivers, but if I remove the Chanlg08 driver it is possible to use the the other drivers.
I have use this Yoke & pedals before, but after reeset off my HD it is unpossible to uset again.
I wonder, can I do somthing wrong when I install.. I open the Chanlg08 and un´ziptheis file to C:\CHdrivers, and after then... open the Map ChDrivers.. and start the setup.
I use Windovs XP and my soundcard and gameport is together.

I would try uninstalling the CH Analog Drivers and see if the entries for them disappear from the "Add" screen in Game Controllers.
I have do that, and try to lay this file in again, bur nothing happen, I try my yoke & pedals an driver on my friends PC. an there was nothing wrong... everything works correct.... so it is in my PC the problem are.. not the yoke ..

Okay. Some questions....
If the drivers are installed, and you can select the VPPro from the list, what happens? Does it show up in the list of active devices like it should (not just in the list that you picked from)?
If it is in the list of active devices, what does it say next to it? "Okay" or "Disconnected" or what?
If you click on the "Properties" button, does it take you to the standard Windows calibration screen or do you get to the special CH Calibration Screen or what?
If you get to a test/calibration screen, do any of the axes or buttons work at all?
What are you using for a gameport? If it's on a sound card, what type of sound card is it?

Hi,
1. I can select VPPro from the list, but nothing happen, they dont show up in the list of active devices.
2. Nothing happen at all, the list are empty
3. When I click on properties the standard windows for calibration came on, not the special for CH.
4. I dont got Test/Calibraion for CH
5. I use Soundcard Creative Sound Blaster Live 5.1 - EMU 10K-1-SFF.

Hi Kurt,
>> 2. Nothing happen at all, the list are empty <<
Okay. They're are some registry entries that are made, that's all it takes for them to show up in the list that you pick from. Those must be okay or you wouldn't see them in the list. Those same entries specify which driver to run for that device, so it's probably there, too.
In the case of the CH drivers, it will always be CHANALOG.SYS. That's not happening because it's not showing up in the list of active devices. There are several reasons that might happen. The most likely reasons are:
1. The gameport is not installed or working correctly. Try to add the yoke as a 2-Axis/4-Button joystick. If the gameport is okay, that will work.
2. The driver isn't in your \Windows\System32\Drivers folder. Look for CHANALOG.SYS. Be sure you have your folder options set to show system files or it will hide the .SYS file from you.
3. You don't have full administrative priveleges when you try to add the joystick. You're installing hardware, so you have to be the system administrator at the time or it just wont' let you.
4. You have your Driver-Signing policy set to "Block" or you told it not to use an unsigned driver when it tried to. The drivers aren't signed and if you have the Drivers Signing Policy set to "Block" it will not add them and it usually wont say anything about it. Set the policy to "Warn", then it will ask you if it's alright. You have to say "Yes", that you want to use the drivers, or they won't install.
Try those things and see if any of it helps.

Hi Kurt,
Well, it's a mystery. I really don't know of anything that will stop them from showing up in the game controllers applet like that if the game port drivers for the soundcard are right for XP. Some of the drivers that were around when XP first came out didn't support all the functions that the CH drivers use. You said in an earlier post:
>> I have use this Yoke & pedals before, but after reeset off my HD it is unpossible to uset again. <<
So the yoke was working okay with the CHANLG08 drivers until you reformatted the hard drive, something must have changed at that point. Had you ever updated the soundcard drivers before the reformat? Did you update to the latest drivers after you did the reformat?

Yes I have update my sound card before I "clean up my HD" and the yoke still works, and I have update the driver after install everything again.

Hi Kurt,
Well, I just don't know. It sounds like something changed when you did the reformat, but if all the drivers are there and updated to what they were before, I don't know why they wouldn't work again. The hardware was obviously compatible at the time. If nothing else has changed, it seems like they should work like they did before. Anyway, I'm out of ideas on what to tell you to try next.
Regarding the 4 axis, I don't see any 4-axis selections so I think you mean the 2-Axis/4-Button that I mentioned for test. That was mainly to make sure that Windows was seeing the game port and all the support files were loaded. If you were going to try to use it that way, you'd plug the yoke into the "Joystick" connector on the Pro Pedals and plug the pedals into the gameport. Then, you would pick a 3-axis stick of some sort to cover X, Y, and Throttle and Windows would pick up the rudders. You would need to check the "Enable rudders and pedals" box before you actually pick the joystick, though, since the checkbox goes away once you pick a joystick. I think the Microsoft selection for "6-button flight yoke w/two POVs and Throttle" is the one that MS meant to be used with the VPPro, but I don't know of any sim that recognizes 2 POVs so it basically kills the use of one of the hats.
