Strange problem (at least to me). In X-Plane 10   the hat switch will only work one way--- either right/left or up/down.  I've tried every option in the X-Plane settings for the hat switch.  Works fine in FSX as always.  I know I must be missing something and hope someone can help me out.

I don't want to use the diagonal settings, too hard to find.

Thanks for any help.

Setting up the top hat switches in X-Plane 10 is fairly easy. Go to the settings menu and select Joystick. Go to the Buttons tab. As you move the top hat left, right, up and down you will see a code number displayed in the top left corner. After pressing each position you simply click on the key function you wish to assign. I use rotate-left, rotate-right, etc to change my view point. If you are feeling more adventurous you can select the Advanced Buttons tab for many more options. You are right not to use the diagonal switch positions.
