I am running a FlightStick Pro gameport version and a Pro Throttle USB in Windows XP. I recently upgraded Control Manager from 3.6 to 4.0 thinking it would be for the best. I didn't realise that 4.0 doesn't support the gameport devices, however 3.6 did so perfectly. I need to get 3.6 back on my system, but I can't seem to locate it anywhere on the web. Can anyone help me locate it? Thanks.

    Hi AbeFroman,

None of the Control Manager versions have supported game port devices, 3.6 and 4.0 are the same in that regard. They would program the ProThrottle USB and if a sim supported multiple controllers they should coexist okay, but the Control Manager simply wouldn't be seeing the game port device at all. It would just be operating as a standard joystick.

What are you seeing that leads you to think otherwise? Could just be the ordering of the controllers, something like that.

    Best regards,

I'm pretty sure when I was using version 3.6, I could run the key check utility and the keys I assigned to the game port FlightStick Pro registered when pressing the buttons. However I could be wrong. Thanks.

    Hi AbeFroman,

That's possible. The keytest utility reports keys sent from any source, it's just gets them from DirectX. If you were using some sort of utility that allowed you to program keystrokes to the FlightStick, the keytester would have shown them to you. The Control Manager itself wouldn't have been what programmed the keys, though. It would have had to be some other program. There are some freeware/shareware things floating around that will let you do that, maybe you were using one of those.

    Best regards,

    - Bob

Definately wasn't using any third party software to program the FlightStick Pro. It's very possible I never used the keycheck with the FlightStick, just thought I was.
