If they do come out with it, it's going to be a no-brainer that it will be awesome. I'm just basing that on how I've loved *everything* I've gotten from CH. Probably one of the few companies I'd consider pre-ordering from before a review.

Well passing thru our lab or my home have been the X-52, the X-52 Pro, the TM Cougar (un modded- and no, I am not spending $400 to "fix it right") and now the Logitech G940. They all have their pros and cons but I am still a fan of CH and proudly using their products (with Ken King's help.... hehe). I dont believe in innovation simply for one upmanship, but I do believe in making modest changes that many have been yearning for (say rotary dials on the throttle). I will be very happy to see the next release of consumer oriented products if and when they appear.
S!
(PS - CH, dont know who runs your engineering department, but modern CAD programs along with regular tooling advances mean that you should be able to prototype a design in 1 to 3 weeks, especially if you only change grips, add rotaries and do not move the pot arrangement. This is not a tall order by manufacturing standards.)
Can't speak for CH of course, but I think unless you are in the very same exact market for a product, it can be tough to judge how long a stage of manufacturing (prototype etc.) might take. In the jobs I have had, I have seen a plastic molded part take months to get prototyped. Mil spec parts and automotive parts for example have a lot of approval stages. Besides that, engineers are a peculiar sort![]()
NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW... ehem, sorry.

Mayhaps Ghost should get this photo over to SimHQ pronto. I'm a little gunshy still.
No WAIT, looking at the base more closely I would say that this is still the industrial one - not meant for consumers. The poster makes me think that this is for the USAF only at this time. I would think there will be changes for the consumer version. That stick is likely too tall to fit on a person's desk.

The poster above uses renders of the product being shown to military contractors at this years IITSEC event.

I do suspect that there will be changes to the base come consumer-release time should they go to consumer market. They look really good though, don't they?
